Pepe, confirmed that suspend appears to be working flawlessly on my
uptodate Karmic x86_64 2.6.31-17-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP .   I have
tested intermittently over the last few days and appear to no longer
experience this problem. It may be worth noting that my BIOS is now

        Vendor: Hewlett-Packard
        Version: F.49
        Release Date: 08/17/2009

I do not suspect any relationship to the BIOS upgrade based on the HP
changelog. Nice to see it is working reliably for me now, thanks.

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Fix Released
