Well, I don't know. When I filed the request I was a Core Dev and so didn't need sponsorship. I recently deactivated from Core Dev due to not having enough time to do it justice. So if you want I can put it in the sponsorship queue, but I didn't need sponsoring when I made the request. It'll leave it up to the archive admins.
