That is exactly what I expected would happen, and this is an excellent description of the problem. Unfortunately it's quite clumsy to work with two keyboards and two mice. Some questions. You wrote that "hcitool scan" found your mouse/keyboard. But they did'n work, right? (until you unplugged the bluetooth dongle). Second question: after unplugging, when bluetooth doesn't work, do hid2hci. What happens?
