right, I figured that out. However, the ati driver isn't well supported with this laptop it seems (for instance, whatever flash does to go full screen it's well supported, so if you full screen in hulu, it's choppy, but if you drag the pop out window so its full screen, it works fine), so sticking with intel for now. only negative is that intel doesn't seem to be able to use the dvi on the dock
