Reverting to Jaunty's libsane sane-utils and libsane-extras did not work for me.
When I reverted I get xsane Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0". WARNING: Unhandled message: interface=org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable, path=/, member=Introspect Followed by Failed to open device `hpaio:/usb/PSC_2200_Series?serial=MY2AID55040G': Device busy. The device isn't as far as I can tell busy doing anything.
