I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 with 2.6.31-14-generic Kernel. Still the cooling fan is not working. With the Omnibook-Modul compiled to the Kernel, i'm able to turn on/off the fan manualy.
BUT: sometimes, reaching some (not really logical) temperatures, ACPI turns the fan OFF. Now i can now turn the fan off (echo 3 > /proc/acpi/fan/FAN/state), but not turn it on. I think there's some problem with acpi. Recompile acpi fail's with 3 errors and 5 warnings, but i can not fix it. -- Hardy 2.6.24-16 HP Omnibook 6100 NO COOLING FAN! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
