Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kernel-image-2.6.20-9-generic-di

Hardware rendering is broken for "SuperSavage/IXC 64" and "Xorg 7.2" in
the current "feisty" tree. On my "IBM ThinkPad T23", "glxinfo" now
reports:

...
libGL error: drmMap of framebuffer failed (Invalid argument)
libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: No
...

This used to work in previous releases of "Ubuntu". The responsible is
an outdated "DRM" version in the current kernel source tree. Rebuilding
"drm.ko" and "savage.ko" from the current "freedesktop.org" tree allows
to recover working hardware rendering.

I have reported this bug upstream at:

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu)
