@Daniel, Regarding Upstream as Scott Ritchie, who is doing the winehq patches, the collaboration work is great. Most of the fixes he includes in his packages for dapper/edgy winehq packages. Regarding Upstream as wine developer: Most bugs are windows application specific (and most of the time unsupported windows applications by wine), which I (as bug contact) can't reproduce (because of not having those programs as original). I forward those users to wine hq bugzilla. Many bugs are fixed from upstream then. @Adam: Well, yes, wine 0.9.31 breaks some things in directX, but it's also fixes some other issues. Thinking about that, I like more bugfixes in the non-direct3d code then in the beta direct3d code. Users, who want to play 3d games with wine can always think about using cedega or other wine derivates from other commercial vendors.
