I think I can confirm this. All I know is I get the message "cleartext device is already unlocked", but nautilus does not show it to be mounted. Because I was using an external disk, choosing "Safely Remove Drive" from nautilus then plugging it in again seemed to fix this problem, but it seems unnecessary.
