I declared bug 499188 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/499188) and was told it is a duplicate of your bug. However I use a i386 and you 64bits architecture. I have given a dmesg report in my bug description, perhaps it may help ? Good luck !
