Gabe, I don't know anything about openSuSE, but I'm guessing you got a build error in acpi_walk_namespace. My patch is based on 2.6.33, and acpi_walk_namespace() grew an extra parameter.
If my guess is right, then fixing the patch should be trivial. Just find where we're calling acpi_walk_namespace() and remove one of the three trailing NULL args so you only have 2 of them.
