Public bug reported:
I dual boot windows XP and Ubuntu. Up to Jaunty this worked fine.
I now use Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala and find when rebooting to Windows XP it
fails to load
Disabling the com ports (1 & 2) and LPT1 via safe mode allows windows to start
ok
Are these ports not released on shutting down Ubuntu
I am unable to determine which if any package is involved
