Your problem does not belong to this bug, you must create a new bug report. however, if you've executed 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' and the problem is still there, and you can't install or remove programs using apt-get or aptitude, try deleting the lock file using: sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/lock
