After going into sleep mode linux failed to recover, would not respond
to mouse or keypad.  When I rebooted it took three attempts.  On the
first attempt I got this message:

On the second attempt to boot I got the same message but with these
lines at the beginning:

usb-id (437): unable to access '/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.1/usb4/4-2.
