I think this is the same problem as with the Acer Aspire 3810T and
4810T. For the 4810T, it was fixed with a BIOS update by Acer, but for
now, they don't provide one for the 3810T. Probably, the bug for the
Travelmate 8471 is caused by the BIOS as well. More information can be
