I agree that fixing this bug should be of high importance, since it is currently impossibly to burn backup DVDs. See a parallel thread here: http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1327809&page=2 .
Add me to the list of folks who have trashed media trying up-to-date versions of both Brasero and GnomeBaker on Ubuntu 9.10. I have a new low-end HP desktop with a 16x DVD-/+RW drive, and I am using DVD-R media. I am just trying to burn 1 large (4GB) file to a data DVD. I have tried 16x and 4x. The message I get from both apps is: :-[ wr...@lba=e0h failed with SK=5h/INVALID ADDRESS FOR WRITE]: Invalid argument :-[ write failed: Invalid argument -- Unable to burn CD or DVD with 2.6.31 kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/405544 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
