*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 21829 *** A support request, also filed through launchpad.net, is a way to get questions answered without filing a bug. It's good when there's something that isn't working for you, but that might not be an actual bug (e.g. maybe your old kernel is supposed to work with Feisty, or maybe it isn't because of some other changes).
I think that a support request is like asking, "why isn't this working for me?", whereas a bug report is more like saying "this is broken in Ubuntu". If it turns out that something *is* wrong, a support request can link to bug reports. If you don't use the old kernel, I wouldn't bother with the request. I'd guess that, in Feisty, kernels older than 2.6.20 just aren't supported. -- [feisty] x server wont start after upgrade https://launchpad.net/bugs/88340 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
