Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
OpenOffice.org Writer always tends to scroll the document to cursor despite the fact that I'm scrolling with the mouse wheel. As far as I can see, the scroll only happens when you scroll document down. Then, if you're not quick enough to click somewhere in the visible area of the document, it jumps back to make current cursor position visible in about one second which is terribly annoying. Then you have to scroll again, and second time it does not happen (looks like there's a timer which fires after certain interval upon a click). It seems this problem goes as far back as 2007 (OOo 2.3): http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=164000 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Dec 15 17:38:59 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) Package: openoffice.org-core 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-16.53-generic SourcePackage: openoffice.org Uname: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic i686 ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- OpenOffice Writer always scrolls back to cursor after click https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497040 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
