I'm not sure what you mean by Upstream, but I just installed the gtk-qt 
package and it makes it impossible to change the theme in Gnome. In Gnome, QT 
draws the windows no matter what theme you choose, in fact, it makes the 
Gnome Theme Control crash. It's been this way for a while, which is why I 
think it should be removed.
