I see the same issue, it occurs for all applications listed in the library,
none will install and all fail silently. Using Apt-get or synaptic works fine.
All other buttons in the software center seem to work fine, its just the
'install' button and drop down menu item that do nothing.
No errors are reported on screen when loading the application from the desktop
"Applications" drop down menu, none are present when closing the application
either,
When the application in launched form the console, I see no errors until
I click on the "install" button, then I ssee the following (I'm trying
to install the "Sun Java 6 Runtime Package"), but I get the identical
error for any other application when clicking the 'install' button.
