I'm not the sort of Linux geek but find my ways through sometimes. This time
however I decided to upgrade my notebook's OS from Ubuntu 9,04 to Ubuntu 9,1
and to my surprise my computer lost the internet connection. I firstly thought
it could be a cable problem. Changed cables and the problem persisted. It could
be a problem of network settings or login setting and when I try to edit the
network connection (through edit connection/DSL and clicking on the service I
use and then clicking on Edit button) the system prevents any change and
displays the following message "Error Initializing editor: insufficient
privileges". But I AM the administrator and as such I should have every
privilege for changes in the system! The only possible thing I can do is to
delete and create a new connection.
Could anyone tell me what is happening with my pc's system? Is there anything
wrong (a bug, perhaps) in Ubuntu 9,1? Has anyone experienced the same problem?
