Even though the Lucid Alpha 1 "live" seems to work correctly on my machine at 1st sight, I've made more tests with Kernel 2.6.32-020632 on Karmic, and I've noticed that screen "flashing and flickering" from time to time only appears after the machine has been suspended to RAM then waken up, and when this happens the machine will ultimately have its display completely hung (either completely black or filled will any solid color), and even though there's no way to get the display out of this and the machine then doens't ping anymore it's possible "to blindly shift" to a text console, as [Ctrl]-[Alt]-[F1] produces no visible result, but then [Ctrl]-[Alt]-[Del] triggers some disk activity after what the machine will cleanly reboot.
I haven't tested suspend/resume with le live Lucid Alpha image, and I actually don't believe my machine would support this (using a USB key for the Lucid "CD")... -- Kernel 2.6.32-020632 - Xorg bugs with Intel Mobile 945GME https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495079 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
