I have the same problem. After clicking "Import" in the "Import Photos" dialog, nothing happens and the error message
(gthumb:2805): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_progress_set_percentage: assertion `percentage >= 0 && percentage <= 1.0' failed is shown. The only difference is that in my situation the import never works, even without videos.
