This is exactly the kind of situation I was hoping to avoid by running Ubuntu. The Sid packages can't be installed cleanly without updating e.g. phonon to unstable, with the possible adverse consequences that may have on the stability of such a critical part of the system. Please, can we have digikam_1.0.0~rc-1 in karmic-updates? The bug is reported at least twice a day to upstream, and we owe them that we fix bugs in updates when we use betas, we're now taking resources away from development and into bug management. That's bad.
