I have a similar problem relating to demultiplexer plugin. I can get the channel list, but cannot play. Once double click on a channel to play, Kaffine will say " Kaffine says "Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media data".
My specs: ubuntu 9.10 tv card: AVerTV Hybrid Volar HX A827 . tv card driver ((http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=293&tab=APDriver)): "Version 0.10 Beta Date: 2009/11/26 OS Linux x86" --------- first time uninstall / install libxine1-ffmpeg, it works for a while, can play one channel, when i tried to change a channel by double click on another channel, it started displaying the above error message again.
