I did a new fresh installation, with Karmic final release today, and I ve noticed a few things: When I install it with the kernel 2.6.31-14 the soundcard is detected but there is no sound from speakers. After the upgrade to 2.6.31-15 kernel there is no soundcard detected! The odd thing is that when I boot to 2.6.31-14 the soundcard is not detected either (it was detected before)!!!!! Could it be something else? Could it be an update to alsa probably? Any help would be appreciated, I use Linux as my primary OS, I don't want to migrate back to Vista again.
