Just to clarify: After installing a driver using NVidia's installer, in order to revert to the packaged driver, first uninstall it as follows (installer filename may differ):
sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-190.42-pkg1.run --uninstall Then re-install the packaged driver (I recommend using envyng, which you may have to install using the package manager). -- libglx.so has undefined symbol.
