I've got what I can see is the same issue, except that I don't have any such options when running 'alsamixer', presumably because I'm using pulseaudio. As mentioned above, gnome-alsamixer doesn't seem to help either with trying to set the 'Digital input source' to be on, or to select any of the 3 'Captures' I have to be selected for recording.
