Yes, I confirm for HP Compaq 615: USB-boot of ubuntu-netbook.remix 9.10 works without modifications. After installation, GRUB needs to be modified with nolapic. I added nolapic in /etc/default/grub before "quiet splash" parameter and run update-grub after editing. However, graphics seems extremely slow, will test further.
