The login takes several seconds longer when a keyboard layout other than the system default is selected. In ~/.xsession-errors the following error appears several times: ** (xfwm4:5167): CRITICAL **: getBoolValue: assertion `G_VALUE_TYPE(rc[i].value) == G_TYPE_BOOLEAN' failed Changing the keyboard to system default fixes it.
