Oppa ... sorry. Here's the comment to the file i posted above: The same problem for me. It seems the thumbnailer also hangs when invalid files are located in the respective directory. During some tests I had to mess around with files (PDFs) and created random data with PDF file signature preceeding. This effectively breaks the display of files for the whole directory in nautilus. I attached a test PDF file that should cause nautilus to hang.
