Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: lvm2

when resizing a volume to make it smaller & readonly the manpage was so
sparse I considered it dangerous and didn't resize to exactly what was
needed according to resize2fs -mP, but to a somewhat safer larger size.

it's unclear what the exact interpretation of k, K, g and G is, and
--resizefs is completely undocumented.

I consider this important as lvresize is a dangerous tool that can lead
to data loss.
