Hi. I absolutely agree with the OP. I noticed this got worse in Edgy. Before that (and since the early kubuntu releases), if I saved a profile it would load the same last settings I used.
I'm one of the few surviving dinosaurs that prefer to use "detailed view". I set that up, save the profile both in Web and File mode, but whenever I launch konqueror again and click "home", I get the Icon View. I have this behavior in both Edgy and Feisty. I'm not a big fan of using the konqueror profiles kicker, because I launch konqueror (and most things) through Katapult.
