I've not been able to reproduce this so far on Karmic 9.10 x86. Although I am reluctant to install Greasemonkey and scripts, I have tried the following:
YouTube normally uses FLV or MP4, but of course Firefox defaults to playing them with Adobe's Flash player if it is installed. So I tried some FLV files I already had on my system. These can be seeked and skipped in both directions without a problem. However you mentioned the totem plugin. Videos at http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/ play in an embedded totem plugin and can be seeked and skipped in both directions. I notice that your info includes the line "Package: totem-mozilla (not installed)", which seems odd, given that you said you see the plugin. Can you verify in Synaptic and/or Firefox that it's installed? Also you seem to have a couple of gstreamer0.10-plugins version conflicts. As I'm fairly new to Ubuntu, can you tell me how you generated the GstreamerVersions.txt file? I'll then see what mine says. -- Totem Mozilla plugin doesn't allow to scroll https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/482884 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
