Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: devicekit-disks

Ubuntu 9.10 AMD64
WD passport 500GB USB drive

Safely remove drive fails to unmount if data was written to drive.
(safely unmounts if no data is written to drive)

There is a popup with the animated writing to disk. When that completes, there
is a new popup with:
Unable to stop drive
Failed to eject media; one or more volumes on the media are busy.

The drive is not unmounted and still shows up as sdc1
