I've done some digging, but haven't been able to make a whole lot of headway. I tried creating a new pixbuf engine section in the gtkrc file for the panel, but it doesn't seem like any of the possible function= values have any effect on the panel as a whole. I looked at the code, and found where gtkrc is parsed, but wasn't able to easily see where the data is actually applied. Do you know if this is this something missing from libgtk+? Or does gnome-panel need to be changed to coincide with one of the function definitions? FLAT_BOX has some effect, but only on the panel widgets, not the panel as a whole. g. -- Grant Likely, B.Sc., P.Eng.
