Hi puppet! Until yesterday there was no solution in sight. In Karmic the newest release of Tellico (2.0) is not included and with the 1.3.5 release the amazon search is not available any more.
But I found out that the new release is in a ppa at https://launchpad.net/~mieszkoslusarczyk/+archive/kde-extras-snapshots. I added this repository to my software packeges (I'm not sure about this term because I use Ubuntu in german; it is "Software-Paketquellen" there). I then updated Tellico in Synaptic and: It works absolutely fine!!!
