I was about to report a duplicate bug that "users should be made aware that
they will start receiving bug mail".
I've seen reports from non-technical users on the Polish Ubuntu forums about
receiving lots of Ubuntu bug mail and not being able to turn it off. It is for
them even more complicated if their bug gets marked as a duplicate because it
makes it harder for them to find the correct page to unsubscribe.
Maybe the signature of the bug mail should contain a link to a page explaining
how to unsubscribe from unwanted bug mail?
Users mentioned above will likely mark these unexpected emails as spam, which
might result in another problem for advanced users: expected bug mail being
marked as spam in ie. Gmail.

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
