I had reported anote problem bug#482757, but now I think I am on the same track that you guys with this problems, after a few numbers of times using win7 - kubuntu, grub fails. nothing to do, only reinstall! I'm using an Dell Inspiron 1545, without hp protect tools, or whatever.
