Same problem here. Both Jaunty+Karmic with compiz enabled, ATI graphics card. seems to occur mostly (but still feeling random) when I'm away from the computer or unfocused from FF. Happened first in Shiretoko, and then went back to Firefox 3.5 and the same problem reoccurs. doubleclicking the favicon to the left seems to re-enable, or a browser restart.
