Thanks Judderman. I actually grabbed revision 99 from the svn. This is the future version 2.2 of the driver and I had no problems compiling it. It now works. I will try to soon test if maybe the webcam works out of the box on 9.10. But I think that now that the driver compiles and looks better it should come with the kernel by default ...
There still work for this bug, but it looks closer.
