Public bug reported: Binary package hint: usplash
New install of Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. About 9/10 of the time I attempt to boot Ubuntu, it freezes on a black screen right after showing the white Ubuntu logo while loading (this is apparently usplash?). On a working boot, the mouse cursor appears on the screen where the boot freezes up, however it does not if the boot fails. If I instead use the Live CD's "Boot first hard disk" option, Ubuntu loads fine.
