I may have something new...

After unchecking "CD-ROM" in Software Sources which was causing some
little red triangle in the upper right ... and then sudo apt-get update
and sudo apt-get ungrade ... I booted about a dozen times and panel was
fine each time. So as a test I went back and checked "CD-ROM" in
Software Sources and rebooted and Panel did not load... I changed it
back and Panel loaded fine again. I think it boots a little faster too
though I didn't time it in the first place so don't have a reference...
