Hello, I've got the same bug as Piotr. When I start the PC after a long time power off, I've got no sound in Ubuntu Karmic. If I reboot the PC, the sound is back.
I compared the dmesg output, and when I've got any sound, I see the following message : [ 6.954776] Writing to ADC failed! [ 6.955877] Writing to ADC failed! The above message appears right after the CA0106 detection : [ 6.953616] CA0106 0000:01:0d.0: PCI INT A -> Link[APC1] -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 [ 6.953643] snd-ca0106: Model 1009 Rev 00000000 Serial 10091462 and each time I try to play a sound. When the sound is OK, the "Writing to ADC failed!" message never appears in dmesg. -- No sound in ca0106 (Sound Blaster Audigy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
