"We already have this implemented in add/remove. If you click on a unknown file 
type in nautilus it will invoke a mime-type handler in gnome-app-install. It 
only allows main by default though (gconf 
/apps/gnome-app-install/mime-whitelist-component) - this can be changed easily."
