System locked up again, and (I dont know if this is useful for diagnostic purposes) the display still had what was showing when it locked up - which is the boxee front screen, no corruption, date/time stopped at the point of lockup.
Reverted back to 185 driver. I then booted up and ran Boxee, played a video file and whilst navigating a menu the system locked up. Interestingly the display froze and the audio looped whatever was playing. So there was a repetitive 0.5 second or so over and over until I turned it off. I don't know if this helps to figure out where the issue is, whether it is/isnt a kernel issue. Tempted to take the box in my suitcase to UDS and ask someone to have a look at it with their own eyes, maybe I'm missing something :) -- System hangs with nvidia binary driver loaded https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/437113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
