One day later, the computer is now back to normal. I have no idea why. I had to reconnect my bluetooth mouse and keyboard. But, this cannot be the cause, because I checked yesterday with a conventional wired mouse, which didn't work either.
I've been noticing other strange behaviour lately. Sometimes the computer logs out without any reason. My user name appears and I have to log in once more.
