Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-device-manager
Bug: gnome-device-manager package does not work in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala What was supposed to happen: The gnome-device-manager package should have run. What happened instead: Upon trying to run the 'gnome-device-manager' from the terminal, it does not run at all and returns this error: (gnome-device-manager:22850): GnomeDeviceManager-WARNING **: Failed to initialize libhal context: (null) : (null) (gnome-device-manager:22850): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_show_all: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the package via the Terminal, but the result is still the same. It also does not install a link to the gnome-device-manager in the Applications -> System Tools menu either.
