I am having this problem with a Dell XPS 1530. When I click Activate for
the "Broadcom STA Wireless" driver it shows the "Downloading and
installing" dialog for about 30 seconds, and then it disappears, but the
driver is not enabled

I ran "modprobe wl" and it complained about a bad line in
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-bcm43.conf. The contents of this file appear
to be corrupted and are as follows...
