I am having this problem with a Dell XPS 1530. When I click Activate for the "Broadcom STA Wireless" driver it shows the "Downloading and installing" dialog for about 30 seconds, and then it disappears, but the driver is not enabled
I ran "modprobe wl" and it complained about a bad line in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-bcm43.conf.
