Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sudo
http://coldreactive.deviantart.com/art/GKSUDO-Details-Concept-143199805 See above concept. gksudo should tell the user (in a dropdown details box) who issued the gksudo (Use "You" for the current user and u...@desktop for everyone else), what is being executed (description of the command), why it is being executed, where it is coming from and where it is going to, etc. This will help many people diagnose issues when starting administrative tasks. Also, add a preference to ask for gksudo every time you start administrative tasks, rather than one time (preference, meaning optional. So that you can turn on gksudo all the time to diagnose what's happening using this enhancement I am proposing.) ** Affects: sudo (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Enh] Details/Verbose in gksudo https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480428 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
